    Final school years, Corona, nothing to do. The first runs out of pure boredom, then 10 km every single morning for a year. Somewhere in there, the troublemaker turned his grades from 3.4 to 1.8.

    Die letzten Schuljahre, Corona, nichts zu tun. Die ersten Läufe aus purer Langeweile, dann ein Jahr lang jeden Morgen 10 km. Irgendwo dazwischen hat der Unruhestifter seinen Schnitt von 3,4 auf 1,8 gedreht.

    At 18 I started my first company, the streetwear label Aliud. Design, website, production, shipping: all self-taught. It didn't work out and cost me all 10,000 euros I had saved from part-time jobs. But it taught me what building a brand really means, and without Aliud there would be no rappid.

    Mit 18 habe ich mein erstes Unternehmen gegründet, das Streetwear-Label Aliud. Design, Website, Produktion, Versand: alles selbst beigebracht. Es hat nicht funktioniert und mich meine kompletten 10.000 Euro Ersparnisse aus Minijobs gekostet. Aber es hat mir beigebracht, was Markenaufbau wirklich heißt, und ohne Aliud gäbe es kein rappid.

    After my grandpa died, I ran 100 km through my home village. No race, no medal, just for him. It was the hardest thing I had ever done, and the moment I knew this was my thing.

    Nach dem Tod meines Opas bin ich 100 km durch mein Heimatdorf gelaufen. Ohne Rennen, ohne Medaille, nur für ihn. Das war das Härteste, was ich bis dahin gemacht hatte, und der Moment, in dem ich wusste: Das ist mein Ding.

    For the home EURO I ran to every Germany match: more than 1,000 km in 21 days, stadium to stadium. That was the summer running became who I am.

    My first backyard ultra and the very first Go One More Ultra, with a spot drawn from around 10,000 applicants. After 56 loops a storm stopped the race: a double win with Kendall Picado.

    We organised our own backyard ultra, and I won it: 67 loops, 449 km, 67 hours. Streamed live and turned into a documentary series on Joyn and YouTube.

    The Last Soul Ultra goes worldwide: four races on four continents, and one final that decides who the last soul is.

    Every race sends its top 15 to the final in Germany in August, where the Last Soul Ultra itself becomes the last stop of the series. Registration for 2027 runs through the race site.
